Sunday 4th January - walk *** – Felixstowe sunset prom – sunny and cold.

More lovely winter weather, sunny and cold, struggling to get above freezing but with the wind offshore it was very Felixstowe prom! No plans today so we did our exercises and take the Christmas decorations down, with the cupboards pretty bare after our company I managed a to find enough for two rounds of cheese and tomato on toast. Mag and I then had our daily walk and headed down to Felixstowe pier around 3.15 as the sun was setting over the docks! It was still quite busy as we ambled towards The Fludyers, it was nice to have the sun behind us as it was so low in the sky, turning near where the small boats are on the beach and heading back through the Spa gardens as the sun disappears behind the horizon. The cold weather is continuing for at least another week so no windsurfing but they are forecasting a light dusting of snow so fingers crossed that happens as we rarely get the white stuff here at Felixtowe!
